The Feast of the Other
Photographs from the reading group held in connection with The Feast of the Other.
The Dinner Party
The exhibition's English name, Synesthesia, expresses the hope that bringing the words of the book together with the visual language of the exhibition will allow thoughts to enter deeply into a shared topic, and that different understandings of what we observe will meet to create a 'feast' of ideas.
Whether the exhibition leaves you wanting more, The Vegetarian fills you with questions, or you are curious about feminism and the complexity of human nature, everyone is welcome to join this reading group.
Perhaps we can consider the following questions: What happens when a person refuses to continue being human? To what extent can we refuse violence? Can a person be completely innocent?
There is a 40 RMB admission fee for this reading group. Alongside sharing and listening, we have prepared a few interesting small surprises. We look forward to meeting you.
