Here We Go Again

1:20

People are often bombarded by repetitive and rapid information that excites and tricks their brains. The repetition itself became a credibility that fools people into trusting false information and controls the way people think. Without realizing it, people started to depend on what seems exciting yet is actually harmful. In this work, the clay-made figures in the apple were first drawn without overthinking. Later, when I review them, I realize they were driven by the excitement or confused feelings in me caused by the repetition of daily life. I used the apple as a symbol, inspired by how the Bible never directly names the forbidden fruit; however, Western iconography defined it as an apple, and through repetition, people believed it to be true. The televisions and the videos surrounding the apple sculpture again reinforced the concept and created an overall atmosphere.
