I started to reconsider the concept of "linear time"-it might be one of our biggest illusions. In narrative, we like to put and organize everything in a linear, almost polar structure: past, present, and future. We enjoy putting memory and plan in such a structure, locating the self and the other. However, how we really view and feel life can hardly be put into linear time. I am interested in the way the fracture and overlap of time caused by the subjectivity of human beings, when nostalgia, anxiety , and pause occupied us, and the way we feel time changes. The changes of the feeling, not only influence our mental state but also our body forms: the body being influenced by different understandings of time, body forms different gestures, and changes in breathing. I try to capture the gesture caused by the fracture of time, to build space to let time emerge. Perhaps the "linear time" we understand is only to build logic and consent; however, what we feel is within the moment.
